Been 2 The Cliffs
GM: tête-à-tête lunch, with Poncho Woman, December 2014: 89/100 – The Cliffs in Dingli is becoming my gilded place for food delights served with that unique view of clear, blue water where the winter sun plays freely. Together we shared the most sumptuous veal liver with jus and capers that lifted the dish so cleverly, and venison on a bed of wild mushrooms – and all other things tender.
Musically paired with: The Flying Burrito Brothers – Tried So Hard, 1971. A song that gracefully sheds the bland taste on what remains of legacies of singers, like today’s dish at The Cliffs on other chefs’ creations. However, I found no favourite wine of mine on the list, although I tried so hard.
