From ‘Abstinence’ to ‘Zonled’ – BREATHE

Like people at a party, wine needs to mix and mingle – with air. Most will ‘open up’, ‘soften’ and ‘flesh out’, whilst other wines do nothing with extended aeration. A wine is let to breathe by pouring it into another container such as a carafe or decanter.

The book Cleanskin, a Vinous Expose for the Bon Vivant features a funny glossary. I though I share some entries with you on my blog. Amusing or what?
