GM: Ten Mile Dinner, day after Halloween 2013: 89/100 – The Ten Mile Dinner was sold out and I had the impression the guests took a genuine interest in my talk – although the food and wine interested them much more. Who can blame them!
The RED MALTESE PRAWNS MARINATED IN LEMON AND WARDIJA HONEY, with VIOLETTA AUBERGINE FILLETS AND HOME GROWN SUNDRIED TOMATOES was a most interesting dish. But honestly, I should have matched it with the Medina Vermentino-Zibibbo, 2012, DOK Malta. Instead I had gone for a secure pink, an easy evil.
Musically paired with: Dusty Springfield Easy Evil, 1973 – A slinky highlight from Springfield’s album “Cameo” because everyone should know about it as much as they ought to try the dry Vermentino-Zibibbo blend by Delicata.
