Been 2 Colleoni dell’Angelo
Piazza Vecchia, 7, Bergamo, Italy
GM: Oct, 2012: 94/100 – I loved dinner in this spacious restaurant with toxedo-clad waiters. Having looked at the mains on the menu, it would have been hard to go past the guanciale (veal cheeks) with polenta. I did pass for the likes of Atlas Peak, Opus One and Rubicon on the wine list and matched Lombardian culinary traditions with local Valcalepio Rosso DOC (a blend of (25-60%) Cabernet Sauvignon and Merlot).
Musically paired with: 100 chimes of the Duomo bell at 10 p.m.
